Federal, state and utility company incentives are available for energy efficient gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, water heaters, boilers and, wood stoves and fireplaces.

Federal Tax Credits

The The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 allows home owners to receive federal tax credits for energy efficient home improvements.

The available credit for geothermal or ground source heating and cooling systems is 30% of the total installed cost.

The available credit for other energy efficient improvements is 30% of the installed cost with a maximum credit of $1,500.00.
